Prolene® Polypropylene Hernia System offers secure posterior repair from a simple anterior approach and has three points of protection. It demonstrates reproducible outcomes with different surgeons. Additionally, it allows tissue to grow through its interstices, thereby incorporating the mesh into adjacent tissue.

Prolene Hernia System Construction:

The Underlay Patch covers all 3 triangles of the groin (myopectineal orifice) and repairs indirect, direct, and femoral hernias. Posterior repair is taken from an anterior approach. The Onlay Patch covers the entire floor of inguinal canal and overlaps the pubic tubercle for added support. Minimal suturing secures the entire device. The Connector joins underlay and overlay patches and virtually eliminates migration.
