Designed to aid in endoscopic suturing, the EndoKnot consists of a 42" suture and a ST-3 needle contained in a plastic tube that acts as a disposable knot pusher. The suture itself protrudes from the narrow end of the tube and is swaged to the needle at one end, while the other is fastened to the scored end of the tube, which serves as a handle.

Coated Vicryl (polyglactin 910) Suture is a coated, braided, synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture with composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Coated Vicryl Suture is available in dyed violet or undyed (natural).

PDS® II Suture, ST-3 needle, 0, 42"

The EndoKnot Suture made with PDS II (polydioxanone) Monofilament Synthetic Absorbable Suture consists of a plastic tube that is narrowed on one end and scored on the other. A 42" suture is inserted into the tube, protrudes from the narrowed end, and is swaged to a surgical needle. The opposite end of the suture is fastened to the second end of the tube. The scored end acts as the handle and is marked with a colored tape.
