Dressings consist of breathable, polyurethane foam sandwiched between an outer layer of breathable, polyurethane film and would-contacting polyethylene net containing silver metal ions (Ag+). These three layers are laminated together to produce a soft, think and elastic wound dressing. The outside film acts as a bacterial barrier, and the silver inhibits bacterial growth in the dressing, which helps to prevent colonization on the dressing.
