Spinova® Support Plus® Spine Support
Bauerfeind
The large back pad on the orthosis distributes forces away from the lumbar spine out toward the thoracic spine, pelvis and sacrum. The moderate lordosis-reducing effect relieves the lumbar spine. This effect is also supported by the abdominal pad – it compresses the abdomen and straightens the spine. Depending on the course of treatment, the spine can be mobilized by removing the back pad.
If gradual mobilization after back surgery is the aim, the balance between stability and mobility must be correct. The bridging pad on the Spinova Support Plus stabilizes the surgical outcome immediately after the intervention. Undesirable rotation of the lumbar spine is also restricted. In the mobilization phase, the stabilizing elements can be removed. This reduces the movement-restricting stabilization effect and the orthosis acts as a support for the spine.
