Safety-engineered syringes are primarily designed to protect health care professionals and other caretakers from accidental needlesticks and other sharps injuries. The sliding safety arm of the SafetyGlide syringe can be activated with one hand, while the Safety-Lok syringe requires two hands to activate the sliding safety sleeve. Insulin syringes are available in three barrel sizes (1mL, 1/2 mL and 3/10 mL). Sizes are color-coded for easy identification. All insulin syringes are:
